The 100th article

It has been about 1 year since I created this blog, Science Lounge. I posted articles about once every three days when the blog was just created, and then I started to post articles once a week after this blog has been established for a few months. It is not until the time when I am about to make the 100th post when I realize that I have been writing the blog for a year. When I reflect on the whole experience, I realize how fast the time flies and how far have I gone.

 Through keep posting articles on Science Lounge, I have not only shared a lot of knowledge that I possess but also have acquired a lot of new knowledge. Writing a blog is not an easy task. To produce articles with good quality, I have to digest whatever I learned and come up with a clear and understandable way to express my idea. Most importantly, I have to make the knowledge of science more approachable and accessible, so readers will think that science is interesting and related to our lives instead of hard and distant when reading my blog. This is one of the reasons why I created this blog. Another thing that makes writing blogs uneasy is that I run out of ideas sometimes. I remembered that there are sometimes when I sit in front of my computer for hours, trying to post something on my blog but have no idea what should I write. It is the time when I realized that ideas do not fall from the sky. I have to search for them. Therefore, I started to look for more sources that can provide me ideas. I try to browse different websites, extract ideas from lectures I attend, and search for ideas in my daily life. Thanks to those efforts, I am not worried about running out of ideas anymore because I know that ideas are everywhere. The only thing I have to do is to find them out.

So far, my blog has been viewed over 3,179 times. Every article I posted got about 30 views on average. This is not a big number compared to a very popular blog. I think this is because the topic of my blog is about science, and science is not a very popular topic. However, I am very happy with what I have achieved. I will keep posting quality articles on Science Lounge and share more knowledge about science to more people.
